帖盒又称拜匣或拜帖匣，因拜帖而得名。过去若求礼数周到，拜帖的传递便少不了拜匣。凡各种往来的礼帖、请帖、庚帖皆以此传递。据考这一习惯起源于汉代，当时称“名刺”，唐宋时谓之“门状”，明清时期则叫“红单”。帖盒是主人身份的体现，故往往以名贵木材或大漆制作。 此帖盒四平长方形，整器以六片黄花梨材榫卯结构制作，周身无纹，抽屉式。造型规整，线条流畅，做工精良。深赭红色皮壳，其上晕节连连，鬼脸隐现，木质细致自然，纹理细腻，纤毫毕现，观之赏心悦目。
