Engr. title and 76 copper plates (of which 1 folding). - Detailed representation and description of the Mark Aurelius Column in Piazza Colonna in Rome. The large folding panel shows the column as a whole, with a cut and a view of the inner spiral staircase. Most other plates depict the battle reliefs. - Contemporary vellum with gild spine title label (soiled, bumped, morocco spine label partly torn). - With mounted coat of arms exlibris of John Perceval (1702). Title with handwritten note. Some thumbing and foxing, mainly outside plate margins. Otherwise good copy.
