以胡人造型人俑始于唐而盛于唐，其后有所减少，及至明代中晚期，随着中西贸易往来的复苏，陆续出现胡人造像。此尊胡人坐像头戴发冠，五官深邃，高颧凸颊，圆目勾鼻，眉须浓密，螺须卷曲。身着异域服饰，肩披帛带，脚蹬长靴，具有明显的胡人特征。整体施红、绿、黑三种彩绘，颜色鲜艳，对比强烈，精准写实，突出了胡人的特征。整体瓷质洁白，釉面莹润，工艺精美，当为收藏之佳品。
