青玉质，质地细润，色泽深沉，器表大部分钙化呈米黄色。钺近似长梯形，光素平整，上部边缘一小孔，正中饰大圆孔，两边出对称尖式扉牙，下部较宽，为弧形刃，器表磨制光滑细致。钺为一种古代兵器，《说文》：「戉，大斧也。」由石斧等工具演变而来，其宽大、厚重、威严的特性，使其成为重要礼器，是「以玉为兵」军事指挥权的象征。A CELADON JADE AXESHANG DYNASTY
