Circa 100 -200 AD.The plain solid hoop rounded on the interior and exterior, expanding to the shoulders, the flat bezel set with a convex oval eye agate decorated with a central figure of a horseman holding a spear. For similar see Henig, Classical Gems, Ancient and Modern Intaglios and Cameos in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge. Ring possibly of a later period. 22kt gold ring.
