Circa 200 300 AD Bodhisattva Maitreya is standing on a rectangular shine decorated with a central seated Buddha and two worshippers. In a relaxed pose, with left hand lower holding the bottle of elixir of immortality, wearing long flowing ropes draped across his left shoulder, his face with serene expression with downcast eyes beneath gently arched brows; his hair tied over the ushnisha. The bodhisattva is adorned with braided necklace, the forehead is centred by a raised urna. He is backed by a rounded stylised halo. For similar see New York. The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
