炉长方口，直腹，平底沿边四角高起成四足支撑，底部「大明宣德年制」六字楷书款。左右出如意形方环耳，对称工整。器壁两面浮雕瑞兽纹，体态健硕雄壮，昂首傲立，双目圆瞪，炯炯有神，气势威严，鎏金装饰，雍容华贵。 马槽炉长方形貌，形似马槽得名，实则炉中棱角方正者，不同于敬天圆炉，乃礼地方炉，存世量较之前者稀少。此炉形端体正，线条刚劲，铜泽温润，闻声清脆悦耳，极具艺术性和收藏价值。
