十七世纪晚期，清廷初肇，时局动荡甫息，民窑如宜兴者，制壶风格不以精工细作为尚，反多带有明季敦穆古朴遗风，此器即为一例。器型简练，做工朴放，不拘泥于小节，倒置把的安排甚具前朝遗风。此壶外施釉彩，为清初首创的紫砂装饰技法，整体手感盈润，窑烧适当，为一难得的清早佳器。邵福官，为清初制壶名家邵氏家族成员，自明代邵文金、邵文银习时大彬制造紫砂壶成了当时的制壶高手，紫砂历史上著名的“邵家壶”便开始了名家辈出的历程。
