口略外撇，束颈溜肩，瓜棱圆腹，肩部开光饰花卉纹，外壁通景绘十八学士人物故事图，十八学士或抚琴对弈，或书法作画，人物神态安详，悠闲自得。十八学士典出贞观年间，唐太宗李世民 以天下渐平，乃于宫城西开文学馆，罗致四方文士，以杜如晦、房玄龄、虞世南等十八人并为学士，评古论今，商议治国之策。后人称颂为十八学士登瀛洲，《旧唐书》、《资治通鉴》等历代典籍均有记载，画家阎立本曾为十八学士画像，即《十八学士写真图》，从此十八学士图成为中国绘画中的一个传统题材。
