A GRAY AND RUSSET JADE BOULDER WITH IMMORTALS, LATE QING TO REPUBLIC China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). Boldly carved with an immortal seated on a rocky outpost, a second immortal and his young attendant carrying sticks looking on from below, all under towering pine trees, the reverse subtly carved to convey a mountain range and further enhanced by the appealing interplay of russet and gray shadings to the opaque stone. With a fitted wood base.
