THREE JADE SEALS, LATE QING TO REPUBLIC
China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949)
The first of rectangular form and surmounted by Budai, the stone of a white tone with a patch of russet and gray inclusions; the second of rectangular form and surmounted by a frog, pierced between the front and hind legs for suspension as a pendant, the stone of a white tone with russet veins; the third of rounded rectangular form and surmounted by a Buddhist lion, the stone of a celadon tone.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, the frog seal with natural fissures in the stone.
Provenance: US private collection in California.
Weight: 20.7 g (the Budai seal), 28.3 g (the frog seal), and 25.7 g (the Buddhist lion seal)
Dimensions: Height 3 cm (the Budai seal), 3.6 cm (the frog seal), and 3.1 cm (the Buddhist lion seal)
