A CHINESE MINIATURE BOTTLE VASE
China, Republic period (1912-1949). The fine miniature bottle vase with a globular body rising from a short circular foot to a tall cylindrical neck, painted in underglaze blue as well as iron-red, depicting a dragon, its body twirling around the vase surrounded by ruyi heads. The recessed base with an apocryphal underglaze blue six-character Jiajing reign mark inside a double circle.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and firing imperfections.
Provenance: Hungarian private collection. According to the current owner acquired from a private collector in Singapore in 1980.
