A BAMBOO FIGURE OF UNHAPPY LUCKY BUDDHA China, Republic period (1912-1949). Seated on a rock, covered in a loose robe revealing his shoulder, holding an alms bowl in his right and a whisk in his left hand. The face with strong eyebrows, downcast eyes, flanked by pendulous earlobes.

Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, some natural age cracks and light surface scratches.
Provenance: Dutch private collection, according to the current owner acquired at a British auction.
