A LOBED POLYCHROME PORCELAIN BOWL
Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912)
Decorated in underglaze blue on the interior with a medallion enclosing a riverside scene, the interior wall glazed in a celadon hue and painted with polychrome enamels showing floral sprays. The exterior walls also glazed in celadon.
DIAMETER 15 cm
Condition: Very good condition.
Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by a third-generation member of the Holzapfel family after 1995 and has remained in the family ever since.
