A LOBED KUTANI POCELAIN DISH Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912)

The interior molded in high relief and finely painted with an immortal descending from the sky on wispy clouds and an attendant with a scroll. The lobed rim, like the pointed end of a lotus bud and decorated with diaper pattern designs. Marked and stamped to the underside.

Condition: With firing flaws and wear to enamels, otherwise good condition.
