A MIXED GROUP OF FIVE JAPANESE COLOR WOODBLOCK PRINTS Japan, 18th to 19th century Each framed in a passe-partout. Consisting of: 1 & 2 – By Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), from the series ‘Scenes on the banks of the Sumida River’, Edition: Meiji period (1868-1912). 3 – By Utagawa Yoshitsuya (1822-1866), Raid of a travel group in landscape with rainbow, 1863. 4 – By Kunniyoshi (1798-1861), scene of a battle by the sea, probably Mongol invasion in the 13th century. 5 – By Harunobu Suzuki (1724–1770), two beauties taking a break from playing the Koto. DIMENSIONS approx. 31 x 26 cm, 24 x 36 cm and 21 x 30 cm Condition: Very good condition; fresh colors and very few stains. Provenance: German Private collection, four formerly sold in Van ham Auction House.
