A MIXED LOT OF SEVEN NEAR EAST STONE SEALS AND A BRONZE PANTICAPAEUM COIN
This lot comprises of schist and stone stamp seals from ancient Near East (4000 BC-2000 BC or later) as well as a bronze coin of Panticapaeum, an ancient Greek city on the eastern shore of Crimea which Greeks called Taurica, dated to IV century BC and associated with the reiging of King Satyros or Leukon I. The seals have engraved geometrical impressions as well as a depiction of a goat and possibly, a horse. The Greek coin wears an image of a satyr head on one and bow with arrow on the reverse side.
Condition: Good condition commensurate with age.
