A FINE EMBOSSED BURMESE SILVER BOWL
Burma, late 19th century. The finely embossed silver bowl and its unadorned foot section with an encircling frieze of “flaming foliage”, depicting several everyday scenes with detailed figures, Burmese warriors, elephant and rooster, set against a chiseled matted background in a continuous landscape of trees and bushes in high relief as well as in fine chase work. The base shows an engraved Burmese script.
Condition: Good condition with some surface wear.
