A SMALL MOONSHINE STONE ‘EGG’ GLOWING IN THE DARK
South Asia, presumably 2000 years old. An amazing small stone with extraordinary properties considered to be magical, carved in the shape of an egg, brilliantly polished and nice to the touch. Nuan Chan Stone (Moonshine Stone), also called ‘Sea Ghost’ or ‘Night Pearl’, is neon green in color, consists of some natural fluorochromes, and probably originated in underwater volcanoes. They can easily absorb light (both sunlight and artificial) and glow green in the dark for a long time. Therefore, they were used as important Buddhist amulets and meditation stones. It is believed that they can balance accumulated energies as well as repel evils and increase peace in the place where they are located.
