清 蛙钮青铜鼓青铜鼓鼓面平整,胸部鼓突,束腰,空腹,撇足。鼓之胸部对称四耳,右方两只大象兩只蜗牛。鼓面边沿有四只蹲蛙,其背上各附小青蛙;鼓面中心为太阳纹,八芒十二晕,鼓面每晕饰钱币纹、花纹、孔雀翎纹等;鼓身饰复线凸弦纹,复线凸弦纹之间饰云纹、雷纹、钱币纹、花纹等。是用于祭祀,战阵,集会等的乐器,并为日常娱乐和贮藏财物之用。South China 18th /19th Century A Massive Bronze Rain DrumFinely cast with geometric linear decoration and the top applied with four pairs of frogs, each carrying a partner on its back as if captured in the act of procreation, and a star symbol in the center, the sides with pairs of loop handles and a waisted base. The ‘star’ on the tympan has twelve rays. A procession of two elephants and two snails in relief decending down on one side. Frogs indicate wholesome environment – a source of human wellbeing.
