此类玉别子为乾隆朝特有的形制，乾隆帝会将收藏的书画手卷以丝绦缚好以后，别上玉别子加以固定，珍贵书画的别子亦多以玉、象牙等名贵材质制作。此别子为翡翠质地，种头通透莹润，碧色相间其间，材质珍贵，正面浮雕乾隆风格的螭龙纹，形制简洁加以变形，具有明显的时代特征，器物虽小却等级颇高。来源：澄庐主人旧藏。参阅：故宫博物院编《清宫包装图典》，紫禁城出版社，p66-67。
