此器器型较大，厚朴、简练、雄伟，明代气息浓厚。砂罐以朱泥为胎，调砂作饰，金砂似金秋之桂花，又似闪耀之繁星，谓之疏密相间、或隐或现，展示出紫砂泥料的独到质感之美，明代为紫砂工艺的萌芽发展时期，因年代久远，此时期高质量之紫砂传器已较为少见，加之此器器身硕大，故保存更为不易。紫砂罐因其独特的材质结构，极为适合保存需要后期转化的茶叶，当为普洱及白茶类收藏家所重。
