款识：和记（把款）；西枫主人（刻款）镌刻：一片冰心在玉壶。戊寅冬月作。西枫主人。
此为潮汕朱泥壶。壶体色泽娇艳，作四方鼓腹造型，让人联想到柿子的饱满之态，壶身方中寓圆，四面圆平向外鼓出，盖亦如此。四方弯流和壶把透露出蓄势待发的张力。此壶在制作过程中，既要照顾到复杂的造型，又要赋予圆融有力的气韵，需要制壶者极为精湛的制壶功力。壶底镌文见“戊寅冬月作”，可知此壶作于清光绪四年，即1878年。后落款“西枫主人”，乃推此壶为爱壶雅士向陶坊订制的品茗之器。款识简介：和记，或为晚清陶器商店或陶坊名。
