Depicting a karako leaning over a table, his robe elaborately carved and adorned with various patterns. The ivory is typically stained with a reddish tint and the expression is comical, both typical for Anraku. The tufts of hair are inlaid in dark horn and the himotoshi are located on the boy’s behind.
HEIGHT 4.2 cm
Condition: A small section of the circular bottom of the table with a restoration. The right leg and part of the robe has been re-attached. Otherwise good condition with associated surface wear and age cracks.
