此太湖石座于红木二级座上。多面可视，形如云卷，灵飞若动，曲折盘绕，如伏若踞。色黑如漆，光湛莹朗，质如腊脂，温润如玉。间有白脉纹理。石面中有透空接连的巉岩孔洞，曲折幽微，引人入胜。扣击之，锵然有声，响韵悠扬。观此石，则顽、拙、丑、怪、灵、巧、秀、奇之美，兼而有之，数百中无一二矣。
