宫廷铜鎏金财宝天王又名毗沙门天，原为古印度婆罗门教天神俱毗罗（意为施财神），后成为护持佛教的四大天王之一，身兼守护阎浮提北方以及执掌世间财富、福禄的两大职责。天王发挽高髻，头戴五叶宝冠，缯带于耳际曲卷上扬，佩戴圆形大耳环。面方额宽，浓眉蹙起，怒目圆睁，呈现威猛武将形象。身着甲胄战袍，足蹬云靴，披帛飘拂，富于律动之感。左手握吐宝鼠，右手持胜利宝幢（已失），以威震三界坐姿侧骑在回首怒吼的狮子上，下承覆莲宝座。整像镀金光灿悦目，造型生动传神，刻划细致入微，其规范工整的美学表现可谓清代内地藏传造像最为典型的特征之一，更兼财宝天王能赐予众生财富的吉祥寓意，十分值得珍藏。
