款识：蒋燕庭 |文房为清雅之场所，文房用具亦多具文人气息，多以松菊为题材创作。这件紫砂笔舔体量不大，入手轻盈，而雕琢极其工细。内部为一随形水池，外缘一侧塑老松虬枝，予人以古树新枝，老而弥坚之感。全器工艺精湛，构思奇特，格调素雅。|蒋燕庭是清末民初宜兴紫砂名工。号志臣，鸿臬，亦名彦亭、燕庭。江苏宜兴川埠潜洛邨人。工治壶，尤擅仿作。二十世纪初在上海，为仿制陈鸣远作品主要人物之一。燕庭技艺全面，所制质朴精工，名闻一时。
