青金石材取上等青金石随形设计雕琢而成，青金石质地细腻，色相如天，或复金屑散乱，光辉灿灿，若众星之丽于天。右上角刻描金御题诗文，其文曰：“竖峰横岭总模糊，凸叠凹棱幻有无。玉塞远非荆楚地，如何认作米家图。”配海棠形石盆为座。青金石又称天青石，古称“璆琳”，早在汉代时期便开始佩戴使用，自古有青金石为“皇家之石”的说法，用于礼天之宝。《清会典图考》中称：“皇帝朝带，其饰天坛用青金石”。青金石材质珍贵，精者一石难求，此件山子料精，工细，独立成画，大气典雅，美仑美奂，韵味十足。
