灵璧石此灵璧石砚山造型灵秀巧致，包浆光泽黑亮，随行琢成。造型与故宫博物院所藏的米芾《研山铭》中所绘的砚山一致，古朴典雅。米芾得到南唐后主李煜的旧物，灵璧石“研山”后十分喜爱。《实为志林》记载他“抱眠三日”，狂喜之极，即兴挥毫，留下了传世珍品《研山铭》。此物依照米芾旧物所制，后底部阴刻“王寅，砚山”。
