剔红盖盒为圆形，子母口，平底。盖盒周身起多条弦纹，上下均饰回形纹一周，盖顶铲地浮雕缠枝花卉纹，枝叶翻卷，流畅自如，雕工细致，构图饱满。盒内髹黑漆。中国剔红技法，传入日本以后，他们称剔红为叫“堆朱”，盖剔红器为朱漆一道道堆上的意思。
