signed MEICUN,inscribed,and with one seal of the artist dated Bingxu year（1946） ink and color on paper, hanging scroll Zhu Meicun, born in Wuxian County of Jiangsu province in 1911, started painting from his uncle Wu Hufan when he was 13 years old. He was an organizer of Zhengshe Painting Society with Ye Gongchuo, Wu Hufan, Zhang Daqian, Feng Chaoran, etc. He served as a painter of Shanghai Chinese Painting Institute, a librarian of Shanghai Literature and History Museum and a member of China Artists Association. He attended the New Chinese Painting Research Association in 1950.
