提要：冶开清镕（1852-1922年）清末民初僧。江苏江都许氏子。名清镕，字冶开。生于佛化家庭。年十一，奉亲命出家。民国二年癸丑（1913年），被推举为中华佛教总会会长，领导全国缁素。民国十一年壬戌（1922年）示寂，世寿七十一。
