Description

提要：王翚，字石谷，号耕烟山人、清晖主人等，江苏常熟人。画有家学，初拜同乡张珂为师，专摹元代黄公望的山水画。后转师王鉴，画艺大进。经王鉴推荐，他又师王时敏。清康熙三十年（1691年）奉诏入京，主持绘制《康熙南巡图》，三年后完成，遂荣归故里，以画终其一生。他的弟子众多，形成了“虞山派”，影响后世颇深。他与王时敏、王鉴、王原祁、吴历、恽寿平合称为“清初六家”。
