Description

吴荣光，字伯荣，号荷屋、可庵，别署拜经老人，广东广州府南海县佛山镇人。嘉庆四年（1799）进士，由编修官擢御史。道光中任湖南巡抚兼湖广总督。诗人、书法家、藏书家、岭南著名的书画金石鉴藏家。清道光十一年（1831），吴荣光在长沙创办了湘水校经堂。左宗棠在长沙湘水校经堂就读期间，吴荣光是他的授课教师。
