A silver-gilt brooch formed as a stylised fly; hollow-formed D-section body with flared D-shaped wings each with a possibly replaced inset garnet cloison; domed head with applied filigree details, two round cells with inset cabochon garnet eyes; catch and ferro remains of the pin to the reverse.
