A silver ring with rectangular-section hoop, engraved at the shoulders with floral sprigs, six petalled floral bezel with notched edges, raised square-shaped central cell set with a cut aquamarine gemstone, inscribed 'Joi Sans Fin' (old French, 'Joy Without End') around the bezel, each word separated by a floral motif. Cf. Evans, J., English Posies and Posy Rings, OUP, 1931, p.10 and p.64, for this inscription. 8.39 grams, 24.31mm overall, 18.38mm internal diameter (approximate size British Q, A 8, Europe 17.49, Japan 16) (1").
