挥春笔名涛石，别号翔云斋主，柏树庄人，男，汉族，1929年生于河北省滦县。早年拜著名已故画家汪慎生、谢艺飞，中央美术院教授陆鸿年学习国画，并在徐悲鸿主办的素描工作室系统地学过素描，1987年拜当代艺术大师刘海粟为师，并成为他的关门弟子。曾代表中国政府前往韩国、芬兰、新加坡等国家举办画展，部分作品被这些国家的国家美术馆、图书馆、博物馆收藏。
