A Large Chinese nephrite pale celadon jade censer, in round deep vessel form, with domed lid crowned with a flaring bud finial. Archaic elephant masks creates shoulder pieces. Slightly concaved foot base protrude from the bottom of the censer mating to corresponding grooves located on the hardwood stand. Decorated in shallow reliefs of grooved lines simulating the archaistic taotie mask pattern of the seeing eyes. The stone of white or pale celadon color with a moist slick appearance.
