Thomas StaffordTwo views of Gemini 7 spacecraft while in Earth's orbit and seen from Gemini 6A, photographed from a distance of approximately 22 feet (7 metres)Gemini 6A/7, 15 December 1965Two vintage chromogenic prints one on fibre-based and one on resin-coated paper, [NASA S-65-63221 and S-65-63193), with THIS PAPER MANUFACTURED BY KODAK watermarks on the verso (mid-1970s)Footnotes:The flight plan called for the rendezvo to take place on Gemini 6A's fourth orbit. This was an essential experiment to practice manoeuvring capabilities which would be essential for future docking of two spacecraft. Due to lack of turbulences the two spacecraft spent 5 hours in orbit gliding together as close as 1 foot apart. As a result Stafford delivered a sequence of extraordinary photography of another spacecraft in space.
