A pair of framed Chinese famille rose porcelain plaques dating from the Republic period. Each depicts a landscape scene; one plaque has seven figures, three of whom are on horseback, and the other plaque has four figures, two of whom are on horseback. Dimensions are: the sight area measures 15 inches tall X 9 3/4 inches wide, 38.1 cm X 24.8 cm, while the frame measures 15 7/8 inches tall X 10 1/2 inches wide, 40.3 cm X 26.7 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The frames have been glued on. One plaque has chips to two corners, one of which has been overpainted. The other plaque is in overall good condition.
