A Chinese famille rose porcelain Budai dating from the Republic period. Budai holds prayer beads in his left hand and a bag in his right hand. He wears a turquoise robe decorated with guardian lions and lotus tracery. The bottom of the statue has a stamped 4-character mark. Dimensions are: 11 1/2 inches tall X 11 inches long X 9 1/2 inches wide, 29.2 cm X 27.9 cm X 24.3 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a large crack to the back of the head and shoulder. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
