A Chinese famille rose statue of Guanyin dating from the Republic period. It is attached to an old, gilt, wooden stand. Guanyin sits on a bunch of large flowers and holds a peach in her right hand. Dimensions are: the statue alone measures 10 1/2 inches tall X 8 1/4 inches wide X 5 inches deep, 26.7 cm X 21 cm X 12.7 cm, while the statue together with the stand measures 13 1/4 inches tall X 8 1/2 inches wide X 6 inches deep, 33.7 cm X 21.6 cm X 15.2 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There are numerous areas of loss to the base, peach, flowers, etc. There is a hairline to one branch, as well as chipping throughout. The statue is attached to the wooden stand, and the stand itself has areas of cracking and gilt wear. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
