A Chinese wooden box dating from the 19th century. The wood box is carved with a mountain landscape and features a bronze scholar with a deer attachment. The box has an inscription and 2 seals to the wooden insert. Dimensions are: 8 3/4 inches tall X 1 1/4 inches wide X 1 1/4 inches deep, 22.23 cm X 3.18 cm X 3.18 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Significant damage to the box due to humidity, cracking, breakage, and repair. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
