A Chinese bronze square hu vase with silver inlay dating from the 18th century. The bottom has the 1-character mark of Shisou. Two of the sides of the vase feature inscriptions, while the other two sides feature a crane and a frog. The mouth, neck, and foot of the vase have Greek key bands, and two beast head handles flank the neck. Dimensions are: 5 3/4 inches tall X 2 inches wide X 2 inches deep, 14.6 cm X 5.1 cm X 5.1 cm. Weight: 554 grams. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a repair to the lower body. General age wear is present including loss to the silver inlay.
