David 'Auguste' Golay died in Geneva in 1895 and his sons David 'Louis' Golay and Joseph 'Pierre' Golay took over the business. 'Louis' became a jeweller and representative of the A. Golay-Lereschepany in Paris at 2 rue de la Paix. The son 'Pierre' became a watchmaker and later managed thepany in Geneva. The brothers entered into partner with Edouard Stahl in 1896. Between 1896 and 1906 thepany was renamed Golay Fils & Stahl and then Golay Fils & Stahl Succrs. They also made highly refined Geneva pocket watches alongside the more famous Patek Philippe and Vacheron & Constantin! Their highly refined gold/enamel objects are highly traded today: e.g. lady's watch no. 27568, sold for more than 8,000 Swiss Francs (https:///go/Jlr); enamel box watch, sold for ca. 19,500 Swiss Francs (https:///go/Ml5).
