The calibre reminds of the so-called Louis Audemars 'Jürgensen' calibres, which he produced until 1869/1870. Among others, he delivered the number 10541 to Huguenin in Locle. The number 10970 could therefore be a reference to Louis Audemars as a factory supplier. The manufacturer Favre & Andrie was based in Le Locle and was founded around 1865.
