The Tang style sculpture is made from pieces of bone which were put together to make the figure. Blue coloured pendants decorated with low-relief ornaments are hanging from the straps running around the horse’s chest and rump. This sculpture is based on the original Tang pottery horses of the 7th or 8th century that are occasionally described as ‘dancing horses.
