Measurements: Height: 6.625" Width/Length: 8.5" Diameter/Depth: 8.5" Chinese Ming Dynasty period blue and white porcelain Jar. Potted in large cylinder vessel, jar shape, having thick and tall potted body, sturdily potted in a bulbous body, ovoid belly on middle gently tapered on short neck toward opening mouth prominent, with slight flaring opening lip, and raised on flat wide round foot base. The exterior decorated with hand-painting in cobalt under glazed blue, depicted chief minister and attendant in traverse within landscape. Which neck banded with arrays of tropical leaves patterns. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy.
