Val Saint-Lambert (Belgian), a glass vase of 'onion' form, probably designed by Romain Gevart (1875-1955) or his wife Jeanne Tisehon (1875-1955), c.1910, the base signed with a large enamelled glassworks monogram 'VSL', The black glass having a bulbous base with tall extended neck and everted lip, decorated with green embellishment rolled into the surface of the glass, 39 cm high, Literature: Victor Arwas, Glass - Art Nouveau to Art Deco, Academy Editions, London, 1977, p.232 (mark illustrated)There are some bubbles in the green glass from the making process, one of those bubbles has a sharper edge if you touch it.
