Description

Elkington & Co, an oak cased mantle clock the design after or possibly by Lewis F Day, c.1880, dial engraved 'Elkington & Co London', movement stamped with '111' above trident motif The oak case with galleried top and spindle uprights, inset with carved boxwood squares, the engraved and enamelled dial having Arabic numerals and centred with a flame motif, the brass movement with pendulum, Case 46 cm high, 29.5 cm wide, 19 cm deep (2)No key. Case has water rings and marks on the top. Some small damage to the spindles on the gallery. Some old mark, wear and scuffs to oak with some small scrapes and tiny losses to the corners and feet. The dial has some scratches around the two apertures for the key, but otherwise okay. Brass with a few marks and abrasions.
